In the archipelago of Lakshadweep, the southernmost island is Minicoy. The language spoken is Mahl a form of Divehi, the language spoken in Maldives. The lighthouse of this island is a major attraction to the tourists. The Tuna canning factory is also located on this island of Minicoy. LIGHT HOUSE – Minicoy

Lighthouse, established in 1885 by British at Minicoy, is one among the oldest lighthouses in Lakshadweep. This is a major landmark in Minicoy Island , the wonderful structure attracting many tourists. One can go right up to the top of this Light house with a height of 300 feet.
